Stairlifts

The Stairlift Store is the premier provider of high-quality stairlifts  in Houston, and surrounding areas. Our vast selection of stairlifts (also known as chair lift) includes all of the major manufacturers, including Acorn, Bruno, Handicare, Harmar, Savaria, and Stannah. Compare pricing before considering a private label stairlift: a private label stairlift is one made by a major manufacturer but marketed by a different name by some dealers. Our products and services provide you with the safety and comfort you need to enjoy your home again.

We make it easy and convenient to schedule a free in-home consultation. One of our Certified Accessibility Specialists will come to your home to evaluate your needs and your home to be able to recommend the best stairlift for you. The recommendations will be based on your height, weight, hand dexterity, balance, ability to transfer, knee flexibility, ability to turn a chair, and upper trunk stability. We will evaluate your home by measuring your stairs, determining if there are any bends and turns, looking at the top and bottom landing to check for rail clearances to prevent tripping hazards, checking for the overhead clearance, and checking for the location of the closest electrical outlet.

Don’t worry we will not be with you all day. Depending on your questions, the entire process takes between thirty minutes and an hour. This is an investment that is meant to make the rest of your life easier and more enjoyable. We want to help you choose the best chair lifts for you and your family the first time.

All Stairlifts are Regulated by ASME 18.1 and standards of the industry, so they all have the following in common:

Safety Belt

Keeps the rider secured to the lift.

Safety Edges

Safety edges over the rail to prevent a pinch point between the rail and side panel.

Convenient Operation

Constant Pressure Operation either from an arm toggle switch at the end of the armrest or from one of the two supplied remotes.

Battery Operated

All stairlifts on the market are battery operated, except for one. Normally, batteries last from two to six years depending on the quality of the stairlift, batteries, and the charging system. Battery operated units eliminate the need for a travel cable.

Additional Safety Switch

A safety switch that prevents the chair from operating when the stairlift seat is turned at the top landing.

A Safety Switch in the Footrest

to prevent a rider’s foot, cane, or purse from becoming entrapped between the footrest and stairlift nose.

Quality Service

Stairlifts vary greatly in quality, durability, cost of ownership, availability of parts, and manufacturer support

Easy Exit

All stairlift seats, except for the riding while standing model, turn at the top to allow a rider to exit safely at the top landing. Riding while standing models require a top overrun to allow the rider to exit safely.
